The location was the most important criterion for me (close to Madeira friends houses); otherwise I would not recommend this hotel. Not really value for money. Badly needs some freshening up and staff is, if not unfriendly, not really very
welcoming. I am staying in Funchal +/- 10 times a year, and I have stayed in far better places for less money !
