A good budget choice in Lisbon
This hotel is a good choice in Lisbon if on a limited travel budget. The location is good (3 block walk to the nearest metro station). However, some will find the noise from the adjacent railroad tracks and the planes in the overhead landing approach to Lisbon Airport annoying. I didn't, but some probably will. The hotel's amenities are average, but the rooms are adequately sized and clean. Free in-room WiFi is a distinct plus. The free breakfast is good. The staff are extremely accommodating, and their recommendations for local neighborhood restaurants can be trusted. In all, not a bad choice if on a budget.

Short walk from hotel
Eat lunch at the stand-up lunch place on the east side of Avenida 5 de Outubro, near the corner of Avenida Antonio Serpa (one block from the hotel). The food is good, service is fast, and one can eat lunch for not much more than 5 euros.

This hotel is in serious need of updating and maintenance. In Lisbon on vacation and liking the hotel for the proximity to a metro for easy getting around. The hotel was extremely spartan, rooms had nothing more than a closet and tv. There was no iron and most electrical outlets were broken, so charging any devices meant that a light or tv had to be unplugged. Closet doors and bathroom doors were slso flaking off all over the floor. This looked less like a 3 star hotel and more like a 1 or 2 star hotel. Would not stay here again!

The hotel is great for the price.
The hotel is great for the price. It is located in a quiet area, close to the subway. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. I will stay there again.
