- Peaceful rooms with views of the EXPO 98 and the Parque das Nacoes, equipped with every comfort. These rooms have double or twin beds as you choose (subject to availability and request upon arrival). Approximately 22 m2. All rooms are totally renovated, with a comfortable and functional decor specially designed for the enjoyment of your stay regardless of your reason for travel-ling. Good standard, fair price
AREA: I had business meetings at the airport, so only 5min by taxi, about 5-6€ per trip. Close by the hotel is the old Expo area, with access to the sea side and a large shopping mall. Easy to go to town by taxi (what I did), but metro is close by the hotel, same as a huge bus station. ROOM: The hotel has quite good standard. The bathroom had very good standard, the room itself was a slightly outdated but really ok. I was wondering about the third bed in the room, I asked for a single room. the safe was in the room, but had no lock. FOOD: The breakfast area could be a bit bigger, but it was ok in general. When I was at the bar in the night just after 12, they prepared breakfast (maybe for some early group), incl. milk and juice. In the morning at 7 I saw them cleaning the area, but milk and juice have certainly been standing there for hours, that was my ONLY bad impression of the whole stay. I was not aware of any restaurent directly in the hotel, but I also do not need that.

Stay at Tryp Oriente Hotel
This hotel was good in offering amenities such as plug ins for American electrical appliances such as hair dryers, shavers, etc. We also stayed at the Fronteir Congress hotel in Barcelona, Spain which was very nice but offered no plug ins or adapters for American electrical appliances which was very annoying.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
For purchases such as bottles of drinking water you can save a lot by going to the Continente supermarket in the neighboring Vasco Da Gama shopping center. We paid 3/4 of a euro for a litre and a half bottle after paying 1 euro for a half litre bottle at one of the many bars and cafes in the neighborhood.

great place to stay in Expo Area
This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The bed was very comfortable and the staff friendly. We would definately stay here again.

Positivo: Gostei do Hotel, a sua localização atendimento, serviços, a simpatia das pessoas e a comida. Negativo: A falta de um funcionário para acompanhar os hóspedes até ao quarto e ajuda-los com as suas bagagens; a segurança no hotel não é boa porque qualquer pessoa pode entrar no hotel sem ser interpelado.
