High class!

One nifght in Lisbon after arrival and planned to set off south early nexyt morning. A very good location, close to airport in this very new and different looking part of Lisbon. Modern highrises and access to the river bank - with really good seafood in the restos.

Tivoli Oriente was a treat

Good hotel experience. The contemporary style is nice.Staff is attentive, professional and courteous. The room size for a superior room is adequate. Typical of most European hotels. Not going to get the same size room as you get in the US. Overnight parking was about 12 Euros/night. Small bottle of water was 2.50 Euros. Swimming pool (indoors) is relaxing along with the hot tub. Fitness center is OK. Steam room and sauna were great after a day of touring this magnificent city. Hotel location is central to the Park of nations, The Shopping center. Airport only 10 minutes away. I would definitely stay threre again. I got a bargain price of $644 for three nights and two rooms..

Great location, Easy to get anywhere

Our experience was great although we did upgrade to a two roomed suite. It was quiet and peaceful and we had a great view of the rail station and surrounding clever buildings. Also a bit of the Vasco De Gama Bridge. The restaurant food was good and all of the staff were Excellent. We did the hop on hop off thing around the city and a half day trip to Fatima. All was organised for us by the Hotel Reception and we had no problems at all. An overall great stay.

Nice hotel... but you can find better for the price!

Tivoli Oriente is an hotel in Parque das Nacoes. Perfect location if you want to spend a night close to the airport. Is 3 tube stations away from the airport (€1.40) or 10 minutes by taxi (around €9.00). If you know Lisbon, you know that Parque das Nacoes is a perfect place to live, but is far from the city centre; so, if you pretend to stay in lovely old Lisbon, thats not the hotel for you. Make yourself a favour, and always ask for a room from the 10th floor, with river view. My one was on the 6th floor, facing the train station... Very noisy. Reception promessed to move me for a different room, but they did not kept their promess. The rooms are clean, with safe and with satelite tv. Be careful, everything is very expensive in your room. You got a nescafe machine, but every coffee is very expensive. The tea bag is €1.50... One tea bag... Come on, we are in Lisboa, not in Tokio. Internet is €15.00 a day, parking €12.00 a day, breakfast is expensive as well, just go outside and enjoy a lovely portuguese dish for 1/4 of the price. Have been in this hotel during 4 days, at the second day, I arrived at the hotel room and my door was completly open, after my complain, they told me cleaner left the door open during 4 hours. Later they send me a cheese plate to compensate.. What kind of hotel, leave the guest door open? And a cheese plate to compensate?!?! I would not stay in this hotel again. Lisbon is an amazing city, with lots of fantastic hotels to stay... You dont need to stress with your hotel!

fine but...

Good location for the expo site and station. Room was fine but we were given twin beds when I ordered a double and we only found that out when we got to the room on the 9th floor. Too tired to go back and have it changed. Breakfast buffet was ok. Ate in the hippocampus restaurant but their are better and cheaper not far from the hotel. They charge for the coffee in the room.

Excellent location

The hotel is located in the east end area of Lisbon revamped a few years ago for an expo. It is 10 minutes and 10-12 Euros by cab from the airport and on top of the other transports around the city for those adventurous enough to try independent use of metro, trolleys and buses with the Lisbon Card. Tour bus tickets are also sold at the main desk of the hotel with pick up outside the hotel. The air conditioning was not the best in the room, the bidet drain needed repair and there was no hook in the bathroom. The closet arrangement was not done by a female, we were certain. The hotel restaurant left much to be desired, but the mall across the street had a terrific food court for the money.

Good location

Location is excellent, across the street from Vasco da Gama Shopping Centre and beside the Oriente train station. 10 minutes taxi ride from airport (€ 7). Since it is at the Expo Parque das Naçoes, there is a lot of choice of restaurants. Hotel has a good buffet breakfast. Some points the hotel needs to work on: - wireless internet is very slow - can take ages for the elevators to take you downstairs - staff is a bit grumpy
