Good hotel in city center
Deficient air conditioning. It seems that at night they turn it off. Otherwise the room was OK.

Overlooking the city
Located at the top of the hill at the upper end of Libertad, you get a great view of the city. Very nice hotel, with a decent restaurant. It's quite a walk to the old town but downhill, on the way back you'll want a cab. Thought it was a bit pricey, but there was a convention in town. Free wifi. Avoid the park after dark, Anywhere people are in Lisbon, be careful of pickpockets, I was victimized.

surprisingly luxurious
I stayed in two hotels in Lisbon. This was the second. It is a very good classic business type hotel. I had fantastic views from the 12th floor over all of Lisbon. Convenient location and great staff. My first hotel was more boutique and in the historical part. This is not in the historical part. Subway is close by though I walked everywhere. lisbon is a wonderful city! The department store El cortes Ingles is relatively close by and has everything in it including an enormous movie theater complex (all movies in English).

Money-saving tip:
Long walk from hotel
For really cheap lunches or dinners do as the lisboas do and eat in the Chiado district on the top floor of the Amazens de Chiado mini-mall. You can eat there for 5 euros.

Simply a great place to stay
Spent 5 days in Lisbon in Tiara Park Atlantic as a base - had no problems at all in the executive room, which was nice, clean and with a good view, overlooking the park and the river in the distance. Concierge was always helpful regarding booking of tours and tips for places to find good restaurants. Traveller tip - book via online services (such as [...], why not), you get a much better price then in the hotel (difference 30-40%).

City tours are overrated - do the Sitra + Cabo da Roca tour (any will do), but for Lisboa pick up a map and walk your feet off :)

Less Than I Expected.
The hotel was not in bad location, about a 20 mins walk from downtown lisbon, and 3-5 euro cab fare. Reception agents were polite, but did not provide that little extra (in terms of service and anticipation of guess needs)one would expect from a 5 star hotel. Beds were a little on the hard side. View from the room was great. Breakfast in the restaurant was inadequate for the price of 23 euro per person and overall not worth it. Altogether for the price one can get a better located hotel with comparable services and amenities. Stay was not horrible but I would not choose this hotel again.

Great but watch charges in your bill
Great Hotel, however local calls to mobile phones are Euro 5 to start and 4.60 per minute. Took me almost 1 hour to check out as hotel wanted me to pay for garage I did not use and double charge for internet fee referring to same day and above normal published price.

A great stop-over in Lisbon
The normal drill is to arrive in Europe at dawn after an overnight flight and have to sit in the lobby until the afternoon while a room is being prepared. At the Meridien I was given a room at 10 in the morning!! What a pleasant change. The only fault I can find is that the mini-bar prices -- which are always and everywhere too high -- are truly ridiculous. Four Euros for a teeny container of potato chips is ridiculous.
