Residencial Princesa is a friendly and newly renovated Residencial hotel in the heart of Lisbon, close to the city centre and many scenic sights including the Marques de Pombal. Well serviced by public transport the Residencial Princesa is an excellent choice for the independent or business traveller to Lisbon. The hotel provides amenities like doctor on call, dry cleaning, internet access-high-speed, internet access-wireless, laundry service, lift/elevator, non-smoking, reception, safe deposit box and smoking-free hotel.

Princesa Hotel & Tea Rooms

Standard
Room with one twin bed includes private bathroom, individual air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, Hairdryer, cable TV and a safety deposit box (rent). Internet Wifi access is available near the reception and there is an ironing and laundry service for all guests. All rooms are non-smoking. It's more like 2&1/2 stars than 3 ;) but location is good. Saw hotels for this price that would be at least 3&1/2 stars - i.e. in Guarda city. Perhaps Lisbon is dearer.

Tired and very basic. We had to

Tired and very basic. We had to ask for a bulb for the bedside light, the shower attachment to the wall was broken, there was no plug for the bath and none available in the hotel. Towels were old, one had a large rip in it. It needs urgent refurbishment. We go to Lisbon fairly regularly and would not consider using this hotel again.

Good location for the price

We went to Lisbon to visit the city and its historical sights. The hotel is located right next to a bus stop which takes you to one of the central squares of the city. From this point you can get to most places of interest by taking either a tram or another bus or the metro. Also a short walk will take you to the metro station from the hotel. Take a cab from the airport if you are not familiar with the city. Bus #22 from the airport will get you close to the hotel but unless you know where you are going it's a challenge to get to the hotel (unless you are a very good map reader and can orient yourself after you are dropped off by the bus). Rooms are very small and the hotel staff is friendly. Staff is able to speak English and answer simple uncomplicated questions. Bathroom was adequate. Everything was in working order but not fancy. Complimentary breakfast was good - same fare every morning. Coffee was delicious!! The neighborhood around the hotel itself is safe - not many restaurants however, nor any night life. For a basic place to stay where your focus is on sightseeing and coming back to the hotel only to sleep it fits the bill and the pocketbook.
