- Located in between 2 metro stations: São Sebastiao (2 min.) and Saldanha (5 min.) in a privileged area of Lisbon's city center, between Park Edward VII, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Saldanha Square. Several bus stations are located arround the hotel's quarter, as well as the touristic city lines bus stop. Nearby the hotel there is the Park and Museum of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation; Park Edward VII with beatiful city view; the El Corte Inglés department store; the Saldanha Square with two other shopping, business centers and restaurant areas; Marques de Pombal; Av. da Liberdade and it's great stores; Av. da República, Bullfight Arena of Campo Pequeno; Amoreiras Shopping Center & Office Towers; Lisbon Zoological Gardens; among many others interesting sights.

- The restaurant is only available for groups and it is necessary to book beforehand, but in the surrounding area you have a good restaurant variety. At the "Lobby Bar" you can enjoy great cocktails, selection of wines, beers, soft drinks and light snacks. If you prefer, you can order the room service during the Bar opening hours at no extra charge. It's opened from 11.00 until 01.00 during weekdays, and until midnight on weekends. Buffet Breakfast is served from 07:15 until 10:30, all days.

We stayed at the Principe for 3 nights and it was fantastic - really clean and tidy, the room was a good size and the air conditioning was a huge bonus. The staff were brilliant, friendly and really helpful. Breakfast was pretty basic, but did the trick. The location is good, it's in a nice part of the city right next to a metro stop (which was out of action when we were there due to expansion, but the walk to the next closest one was still only 10 mins or so) but is nowhere near beaches or the sea, so if you are hoping for views this isn't the place! The taxi from the airport only cost 8 euros. We were really impressed with the hotel and will be staying there again on our next visit to Lisbon.

Good, but You can find better in Lisbon
Hotel Principe is located in between the Saldinha and the Sao Sebastiao Metro Stops in Lisbon. The closer metro stop is Sao Sebastiao, which is about 4 blocks away. There is currently construction going on outside the building (as of May '09) which made it more difficult to get there. Otherwise, staff is very friendly and helpful with information, rooms are clean (although the bathroom shower curtain was a bit broken). Breakfast was good - mostly cold items. Fine if you're traveling with less demands.

If you are planning on seeing a lot of Lisbon in one day, definitely get the Day Pass for the Metro system. For about 4.20 Euro, you can have unlimited access to the Metro (subway), Trams and Buses. It lasts for 24 hours, and will be worth it if you take 4+ trips (which you most likely will if you want to see Lisbon without a tour group)

Remarquablement situé (Fondation Gulbenkian, 2 lignes de métro) calme, avec un personnel accueillant, nous retournerons volontiers dans cet hôtel.

観光で泊まるにはお勧めできない立地です。地下鉄の駅から5分以
観光で泊まるにはお勧めできない立地です。地下鉄の駅から5分以内、観光の中心バイシャ／シアード駅から5駅ですからアクセスは悪くないのですが、周辺はなにもありません。ですからとても静かです。唯一良かったのは地下鉄サン・セヴァスティアン駅直結の”エル・コルテ・イングレス"という名のデパートの存在です。地下に巨大なスーパーがあり、食事もできます。夜10時ごろまで空いているようです。 ホテル室内設備は最小限、洋服賭け、デスクはありますが、冷蔵庫はおろか引き出しはなし、金庫もなし。とにかくこんなそっけない 屋は初めてです。今までヨーロッパで40位のホテルに泊まりましたが、このホテルに連泊するのは辛かった。ﾘｽﾎﾞﾝ第1夜に泊まり、荷物を預けて3日後に戻り2泊しました。荷物は快く預ってくれました。 朝食付で予約したつもりだったのですが、そうではありませんでした。1人6Eと安かったですが、内容は値段相応のものでした。これはこちらのミスの可能性もあり今となっては確かめるすべはありません。これからは確認を怠らないようにしないとと自戒しています。

Ottimo hotel, personale disponibile,
Ottimo hotel, personale disponibile, camere confortevoli, colazione ricca e abbondante, fermata metro vicinissima. Unico neo il parcheggio non prenotabile e con posti limitati. Per il resto lo consiglierei senza alcun dubbio.
