Affordable, centrally located hotel in Lisbon next to Marques de Pombal

Hotel was good and we enjoyed

Hotel was good and we enjoyed our stay. Enjoyed the breakfast which was included in the price. Location was a bit out of the city area although transportation was close by and convenient.

You get what you pay for.

The hotel is located on the corner of two very busy streets, but is quiet inside. The location allows one a choice between a number of bus stops only about 200 meters away, or the superb Metro which is just a bit further on. The staff was very helpful.Our only problem was with the bathroom. There was not a shelf wide enough to hold a shaving kit. (Mine is 4" wide.) Other rooms which apparently cost a few $ more had much more room. I know- I peeked inside.

Einfaches, dafür super zentrales Hotel

Es kommt natürlich drauf an, was man persönlich erwartet. Wir sind da eher einfach gestrickt und sind froh, wenn das Zimmer sauber ist und die Lage zentral. Und diese Bedingungen waren auf jeden Fall erfüllt. Der Service war gut, sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer wurden jeden Tag gemacht und es war einigermassen sauber - auch wenn da noch Potenzial vorhanden wäre. Die Zimmer sind eher klein und müffeln ein wenig - es ist halt ein älteres Hotel, was man nicht nur an der aus der Mode gekommenen Einrichtung bemerkt. Wir haben bloss im Hotel gefrühstückt. Das Buffet war reichhaltig und gut. Allerdings herrscht zu Stosszeiten etwas Platzmangel, da muss man flexibel sein und sich schon mal mit Fremden den Tisch teilen :). Wie gesagt ist dafür die Lage der absolute Hammer, vorallem wenn man auf einen kürzeren Städtetripp ist und voll auf Sightseeing aus ist. Zentraler geht wirklich nicht mehr.
