Da Estrela Hotel Lisbon Rooms

- Standard Room offers 1 double or 2 twin beds with all the basic amenities. The rooms and suites of Hotel da Estrela offer magnificent views across the city and the river Tagus. All of the rooms are spacious and comfortable and conjure up a classic school atmosphere with contemporary design features combined with the feeling of total relaxation enveloped within the calm sanctuary of the private garden.

All of the rooms are spacious and comfortable and conjure up a classic school atmosphere with contemporary design features combined with the feeling of total relaxation enveloped within the calm sanctuary of the private garden. Two of the suites are furnished with Hastens beds, considered to be the best in the world.

Comfortable rooms and a great restaurant but a bit far from downtown
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel da Estrela. The standard room was large and comfortable. The shower/tub was designed a bit awkwardly. You kind of had to climb into it and it was hard to keep water from splashing everywhere. The TV only had Sky News or the Cartoon channel in English so bring a good book to relax. We had several enjoyable meals in the restaurant downstairs. We ended up eating there rather than traveling to downtown Lisbon. The Rato train stop was just down the hill but it did take about 25 minutes to get to the major sightseeing area so keep that in mind. The staff were all very friendly but the front desk staff could use some training to help guests find there way around town and sites. One major issue we had was that there was no wireless in the room. We had to go to the lobby or bar to access the wireless.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
We went to Trempe for dinner one night near the hotel. It was authentic Portuguese food and we enjoyed it. Simple but good.

confortable,bien placé,très bon service
nous avons passé 3 jours très agréable à Lisbonne et le 4e avons loué une voiture (par ebookers) pour aller visiter Sintra (super) et un peu de la côte atlantique.
