"Horrible People!"
Hotel said that we did not have a reservation at their hotel once they saw that we were a gay couple. Horrible place!

I found that the premises looked
I found that the premises looked good and the location is very convenient. The room was pretty but service was not great, as our rubbish bin was not emptied and carpets were definitely not hovered throughout the 3-night stay. Coffee was lukewarm and not freshly brewed, just ordinary instant coffee - otherwise good breakfast selection.

My review of Almirante
The Almirante Hotel in Lisbon was very nice, clean, attractive, well maintained, but in a sort of scary neighborhood. Although they claimed to have a restaurant, they don't. The breakfast was very satisfactory and in a lovely room. They have a bar, but their staff knows absolutely nothing about any kind of drink including something as simple as a Gin and Tonic. It was as if they had never heard of either one. We had to tell them what to do. Some of the front desk staff was efficient, the others, obviously, were not trained very well. We spoke to a young woman at the front desk, while she was on an never-ending personal phone call. We asked for a wake-up call. She nodded and we never got the call. Had we needed to make a plane, we would have missed it. We spoke to them about it and, she, without any apology acknowledged that she had goofed. Someone needs to train their staff. Those who knew what they were doing were great.

c'est un bon hotel le metro se trouve juste a cote on peut parcourir facilement au moyen du train pas cher du tout pour visiter les sites touristiques il y a de tres bons restaurants pas tres loin

hôtel de centre ville (3 stations
hôtel de centre ville (3 stations de métro) très correct au niveau de la chambre, propre et agréable. Par contre le personnel à l'accueil n'est pas très disponible; mieux vaut ne pas avoir de renseignements à demander. petit déjeuner assez pauvre, avec une seule personne (bien dépassée) pour gérer tous les clients. Il faut parfois attendre bien longtemps pour avoir de l'eau chaude pour le thé ou pour que les containers à café et jus de fruits soient réapprovisionnés.
