Relaxed Holiday
Nice hotel for a few days. The pool was refreshing and all the staff were lovely. Cascais was a great place to get to other places and staff were helpful with tips and advice.

This hotel is located in a residential area close by the court house, however, it is better described as a hotel for tourists who want to sightsee and take in the beautiful village of Cascais. The sorrounding area is busy during the day but quiet at night. The interior has outdated furnishings and the dining room has the musk of smoke from a long time ago. The bathroom is very large and well equipped. The rooms facing seaside are definitely the choice as the opposite end has no appeal whatsoever.

Short drive from hotel
If possible, take a short drive to Sintra and enjoy the historic palaces and museums (i.e. Palacio da Pena, Moorish Castle, Cabo da Roca, etc)

The Hotel Cidadela was excellent
The Hotel Cidadela was excellent value for money. Whilst a little dated and tired in places, overall it is clean, safe, comfortable and spacious. The staff were mostly pleasant and helpful. The pool was spotless. Breakfast was plentiful and the end time very flexible! Our little balcony and having a fridge in our room (as well as the BBC on our TV!) were added little bonuses! The main downside of the hotel is it's air conditioning, which did not seem to work. With the main road going past our room, keeping the window open wasn't really an option, so getting the a/c fixed should be a priority for the hotel. Extending the wifi to all rooms will also be a good bonus for the hotel too.

This is an older hotel but for cleanliness, friendliness of staff and value for money it is one of the best Hotels we have stayed in. The rooms in the older part of the hotel are large and there was still plenty of room even with an additional bed for our daughter. I would definately recommend this hotel for anyone thinking of staying in the Cascais area.

Nice experience
Rooms were basic, very clean with very friendly, helpful staff.There was a bathroom off the entrance hall as opposed to an un-suite which added to the space and privacy of the accomadation. This hotel seemed to cater for senior customers although we were there in February which might explain this.My only complaint is that there were no tea making facilities, but were supplied when asked for. All in all a very nice hotel.

Everything is within walking distance.A nice place to chill out. Lots of eating options from pub food in the cobbled square to hotel food, all at very reasonable prices.

No está completamente centrico,
No está completamente centrico, pero en Cascais todo esta cerca, asique en 5-10 minutos estas en cualquier parte del centro, la playa o el paseo maritimo. Todas las habitaciones tienen una terraza muy bonita con vistas al mar y a la piscina del hotel. Habitaciones muy amplias, y una buena oferta de buffet de desayuno. Muy recomendable
