- DELUXE - SUITE
- The Suites at gua Hotels Vale da Lapa have two floors The Ground Floor offers spacious open plan living/dining that leads out onto a large balcony wonderful for al fresco dining or simply relaxing. The state of the art modern kitchen in beech wood is fully equipped with granite worktops, electric oven and hob, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave and integrated fridge freezer. A guests WC is also available on this floor. A fresh and spacious staircase takes you to the first floor landing with storage area leading to the master bedroom, which captures your attention with its impressive vaulted ceiling and includes a walk-in dressing area, en-suite bathroom complete with bidet, separate shower, bath and under-floor heating. This bedroom is complimented with a superb balcony offering open views to the sea or the Monchique Hills from its terrace. A second bedroom with 'Juliette' balcony also has an en-suite bathroom with under-floor heating.
- STANDARD - VILLA
- 3 Bed Villas each located in their own sumptuous surroundings. The superior fitted kitchen in ice blue gloss, is complimented by black granite worktops, and fully equipped kitchen with electric oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and American-style fridge freezer. The kitchen leads to a separate utility and laundry room equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, storage cupboards and access to private sheltered parking. Also situated on the ground floor are two en-suite spacious bedrooms, both having patio doors leading to the private pool, garden and terraces. Climbing the feature staircase to the master bedroom, you will encounter the light and spacious vaulted ceilings, a fabulous feature of this villa. This bedroom features a walk-in dressing room and en-suite bathroom fully equipped with under-floor heating, large separate shower, bath, twin sinks, bidet and toilet. The bedroom opens onto two terraces the first a large private balcony and a further roof terrace.

So close but not quite.
The concept and plans were obviously first-rate, however the finish in the rooms is already starting to fail and the restaurant was disappointing with an attempt at a fine dining experience that did`nt even come close in the food department and the service would have better without popping out to top up the nicotine stench every twenty minutes or so (all written from the perspective of someone that worked six star [best in the world] cruise ships for twenty years). The Spa, although fairly basic was clean and very enjoyable. Go with reasonable expectations, use the beach down the road at Carneiros, eat in the pizza place 100m up the road and have a lovely time.
