The hotel rooms were very basic but the staff were very helpful. The hotel is situated on a steep hill, it has 3 floors and no lifts. Older people should think very carefully before deciding to stay at this hotel and Madeira itself due to the very
steep hills you will encounter but it is a very quiet, beautiful and peaceful island.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
In Garajau there are several restaurants all with varying prices. If you're not too fussy I recommend Nelsons Place opposite the hotel entrance. It's a family run business and very friendly and helpful.
The hotel provided everthing i expected and a bit more regarding time to unwind and relaxe by the pools.I was worried about location but as i already had a car rented it was just great only 1 minute away from motorway to get to anywhere on the
island. The local people were friendly too and happy to help .
