When we decided to stay at a 5 star hotel for our honeymoon, and pay a lot more for it, we expected to get more for it.
The hotel rooms are tiny with no views. We were paying $150/night already, and they offered to upgrade our room for another
50 Euros/night (we thought that was ridiculous).
There is no clock in the room, as well as no iron and ironing board.
We requested a one double bed, but instead of having one big comforter, it had two small ones that were barely big enough to cover us (we are not big people).
Another bad thing about our room, was the adjoining room, because you could hear the hair dryer and the TV noise coming through the door.
Probably the worst part about this hotel, is that although they advertise a fitness center and a sauna/spa, you have to pay roughly $15 per use.
There are also some good things about it. The hotel is very clean. The location is perfect if you're there for sightseeing. Just in the middle of all the sights.
The service is also excellent, and they will accommodate many requests. If you're a tourist, you don't have to plan anything yourself ahead of time, once you get there, they can organize trips/tours/guides on very short notice.
In retrospect we probably could have gotten better value and the same good service at a less expensive hotel.
