the pool was close

me and my family went to Manila for a wedding and decided to stay at the heritage since the wedding ceremony and the reception was close from the hotel and it was also close from the airport. i was staying at the 5th floor since i smoke and my family was on the 6th floor.i had to borrow one of my sisters keys everytime i go up on the 6th floor since i can't use my keys to go up.your key is only allowed to go on the floor where your staying.the rooms was ok, carpet was old and raggedy, the food wasn't that good, and the pool was close cause they said they were renovating. overall my stay at the heritage was ok!

Very Nice Four Star Hotel

When you realize that this is a 4 star hotel, not a 5 or 6 star, you will be very happy to stay at this hotel. -- Room rates are great -- Clean rooms but dated; can use remodeling but sitll ok -- Very friendly and accommodating staff -- Many fast food restaurants within a 2 minute walk -- Free hotel shuttle 4 or 5 times a day to Mall of Asia, back and forth -- Taxi ride fare of 80 pesos to the airport; tip is extra -- Taxi ride fare to Mall of Asia also 80 pesos; tip is extra -- Taxi ride fare to shopping/business district of Makati is about 160 pesos. Lots of traffic though. Bus can be picked up right in front of the hotel for a 25 pesos ride to Makati shopping/business district -- Casino within the hotel; not very big but a wonderful atmosphere with great and very friendly and outgoing dealers. Live music on most nights --Actual bank branch in the casino offers a decent dollar exchange rate. At the time I was there it was 40.45 with a money changer store outside. 40.25 at the airport, and 39.80 at the bank branch within the casino -- Cannot comment on any food services within the hotel since I did not have any, although the food within the casino did look good

Needs some work

Room was big and had most of what you would expect, was lacking slippers. Carpet appeared to need cleaning. Little ants all over the place. Lots of street noise from traffic even on 9th floor. May have been a 5 star at one time but not now.

A Pleasant Stay

I needed a place to stay overnight near the airport, location was just right. Checked in at 2:00 pm and checked out 4:00am the next day. I slept most of the stay but the price was right due to the half off the regular price. Will stay again.

Overrated Hotel

Wireless internet was very high priced for 2 hours, but using the hotel’s internet connected computer was 40 times higher than the cafĆ© down the street. I was compelled to use the hotel’s computer since I could not print my boarding pass in my room without a portable printer. At times, the front desk staff ignored some of my questions, even though I was the only guest at the desk. TV remote control did not work properly. I replaced the batteries in it and it worked better, but still barely functional. The 20 inch CRT was laughable for a ā€œ5-star hotelā€. Water pressure would fluctuate with toilet flushes/water usage from other guests. The combination of hot/cold/hot/cold was very irritating. The only time we had a reasonable shower without pressure fluctuations was around 1 pm. Otherwise taking a shower was almost impossible. Buffet breakfast was horrid. Dishes were either empty or mostly empty and cold. This is a far cry from the premium buffet that I experienced here before. Same price though. High price for a low cost, low quality meal. I complained to the cashier, but she just instructed me to note it on the guest complaint form in my room. I ordered a ham/cheese/onion 2-egg omelet. Was duly informed there were no meat products available for the omelets (at 9 am with the buffet closing at 10 am). Received a 2-egg omelet with invisible cheese and onions (and tasteless). No drinks were available. There were empty containers for different fruit juices, but they weren’t filled until I’d almost finished my meal. The next day I walked down the street to the local McDonalds for breakfast. At least I was aware of the quality and price beforehand. It was my choice. Checkout, nobody helped with getting the bags down the stairs to the taxi. Several uniformed hotel staff were standing around the stairs busy ignoring me. The taxi driver ended up loading the bags. Why did I go back? Only because of the proximity to the Mall of Asia (MoA).

Do NOT bother with the breakfast buffet. It is vastly overpriced and the quality is extremely poor. I would not eat there for free.

May have been a 5 star once...

Chose this hotel based on the 5 star rating and proximity to the airport for a short 12 hour layover in Manila. Lobby area was amazing and the front desk staff courteous and efficient. Everything went seriously downhill from there... Upon opening the door to my room I was greeted with a strong smell of mold as if I had entered a basement cellar. The light switches and walls were coated in a layer of dirt and the painted surfaces were poorly maintained at best (easy to see the previous paint through the streaks on the door). Since the Summer Olympics were in full swing I was hoping to catch up on the latest events on tv but was greeted with a toaster sized television and a remote control with most of the letters rubbed off sometime in 1982. The bed was large but missing sheets and honestly a bit scary with only a comforter and a base sheet. Bathroom features were acceptable with adequate shower pressure, but once again a layer of dirt on the phone made for an uncomfortable feeling of "what else am I not seeing?" Looking for something to eat I headed down to the restaurant where I was offered with a single choice of a buffet dinner. Since I had not eaten of most of my travel day, I decided to stay and managed to find a simple pasta station where I ordered shrimp fettuccine with a few vegetables. When delivered to my table a few minutes later, I received shrimp, pasta, and a white sauce... No vegetables. Further attempts at finding suitable options were just not satisfying and left me with the feeling that I was not the target demographic for the hotel. Lots of "fish paste" based options that I just couldn't trust. Finally, upon reviewing the check, I was shocked to discover that my dining experience was going to cost me $40 after spending nowhere near that amount over the previous 10 days of my trip. In contrast to this hotel, prior to arriving in Manilla I spent several outstanding days in Dauin at the Pura Vida Resort where everything was beyond reproach in every respect. In summary, I will not be staying at the Heritage again and hope to find another option for future stays in Manila.

Trip back from Boracy

This is my second stay at this hotel. I found the rooms clean and the hotel in an excellent location close to the airport. I do which it had a few more dining options. Luckily the Mall of Asia is very close with plenty of restaurants to eat at. I would however, stay here again.

forgotten heritage

when you arrive at this hotel you will find that the experience in the lobby is outstanding however when you get upstairs to your room being upgraded to the ninth floor or just a regular room you are going to sign of the rooms are filthy hands smell like mildew. the bathrooms were dirty and we were afraid to remove our shoes. the food on the first floor restaurant in the food on the ninth floor restaurant are both excellent. and watching the traffic on rohas boulevard from your balcony window is very entertaining
