Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila

Very opulent hotel and conveniently located to the airport and Mall of Asia and other important landmarks. Like the city of Manila though, the hotel was very crowded and noisy; so really didn't have the romantic evenings I had anticipated. The staff is well trained with the meet and greet protocol which of course transpires into the wholeness of hospitality and return visits. A little too pricey of a stay after experiencing upsales, taxi fare standards, and in- house dining. The room was not thoroughly cleaned and I did a room move due to pre-event construction ( around the clock). The thing that stands out most was the view of bay and city. I am undecided about a return stay on my next visit.

From the minute we arrived to the minute we left I loved this hotel. I can't wait to go back to the superb but pricey dinner buffet, easily organized transportation to Mall of Asia, the wonderful rooms and just really friendly and professional staff. The executive lounge made our stay the absolute best. Well worth the price. We will be back next year and will stay longer after we land, so we can enjoy all the hotel has to offer. I have stayed in a tons of hotels all over the world and this is the best.

Simply, this hotel was the best to me and has even exceeded my expectation. Staff is so friendly and willing to do everything to keep you happy and feel comfy all the time.The only thing that they need to work on is[...] I was under the impression that everything was included in my prepaid reservation but was shocked when they told me that I had to pay for the internet and the breakfast. I still feel this was extremely unfair and made me to pay too much to add these two items. [...] I would never do a reservation with a hotel without internet included no matter what.Everything else is simply amazing. The ocean view, the cleanliness of rooms, the smiling staff everywhere, the food and the security.I like to return to this fantastic place under only one condition; if internet becomes included in the service.

This appears to be an excellent hotel, but the bottom line of this place is to make money however possible off of you. The US Dollar to Peso rate wasn't even close to the going rate short changing you...if you exchanged there. Things are over priced in the hotel. Example a San Miguel Beer is 20 Peso at a store. At the hotel it was 200 Peso a 100X mark up which is crazy! Places I ate out at it was 50-100 Peso. Seems to be confusion across the board with the staff on various rules of the hotel in which I incurred a lot of hotel costs added on to my bill which I believed doubled it. Waiting on my credit card statement. Sorry I really don't have much positive to stay. The hotel's outrageous prices and staff not knowing what the hotels own rules are won't have me coming back when I return in a few months and I wouldn't suggest to anyone.

Hotel was spotless,awesome garden and pool area.

Hotel staff is very professional and friendly, will take the extra step to make your stay enjoyable. Breakfast buffet is awesome and outside view while dinning is incredible.

The Hotel Sofitel was nice , but for a five star hotel could stand for more regular upkeep. Good value for the money and mostly geared towards business travelers. About 20 minutes from the airport and a 20 minute taxi ride (depending on traffic) from attractions in Makati.
