great experience like home/hotel in USA

Great buffet, they would even carry your buffet plates to your table. I missed my dogs so would scratch belly of the sniffing guard dogs and they enjoy well. Very clean, slippers, bathrobes, there and all amenities. Singer at the bar nightly. Next door to shopping mall Glorietta, Tony Romas, Outback steak, Rustans equivalent of Saks/Nieman Marcus in US. Everything comfortable. Courteous staff from entrance to housekeepers. Can not complain of any. Just book ahead so less expensive.

Business trip

The stay was what can be expected. Rates are higher if you book all together, but if you break it out it can be significantly cheaper. This was a little inconvenient. Other than that you get what you pay for.

Beware: Reckless Valet and Stolen Perfume

Things will go wrong occasionally, even in "premier" hotels. This is something that I never fail to recognize. So I share with everyone a short story of my INTERCONTINENTAL MANILA experience: I left my car to a guy named RON from valet services as I was in a rush to buy a gift for our Christmas party. SM Makati is just right across where I did my shopping. I strolled back to my car after to change. I figured that RON left my AC at no. 4, radio at the highest volume and my muffler forced up to the parking stopper. This is just a small annoyance for me so I decided not to complain. BUT. I almost went ballistic when the Versace perfume which I left on my car's center console is missing. I explained what happened to security in a CALM, POLITE and FRIENDLY way. It ended the next day with a SUGARCOATED e-mail from MAYUMI HAYAKAWA which points the fault to me, their VALUED GUEST. How should we expect them to handle high-ticket items? I still give props to their friendly staff, responsive security and cheerful table buzzers.

Clean and Comfortable. With a REAL bathroom! No glass partitions for walls!

Classic. Clean. Real Hotel Room. Real Bathroom, with real walls. No trendy Glass Partitions for bathroom walls where flush noise will wake you up in the wee hours of the morning! Good Location. Near all good quality restaurants/attractions the city has to offer.

Manila Trip

The hotel is in an excellent location right across from Glorietta mall and SM Makati with close walking disatnce to Greenbelt mall. Although a little bit older, this hotel makes for a nice stay especially with all the traffic going on in Manila.

refuge in Manila.

Our family had a very pleasant and safe experience in this hotel. My child was not used to the crowds and traffic of manila so we just stayed in the hotel for 3 day prior to going back to the states. Everybody from the van driver to the housekeepers were courtious and friendly. They always go out of there way to provide excellent service. I recommend the club level. It has it's reception area, breakfast and check-in area. This hotel is certainly world class!

You can pay one-tenth of price for items in mini-bar by walking across the street to mall. Area is congested and don't expect filipino cab drivers to respect zebra stripes.

terrific location for shops & transport

Had stayed in this hotel three times before. The staff courtesy keeps me coming back. The conciergeknows her stuff-gave me directions to cheap shopping center Divisoria unflinchingly. The phone operator was just as charming. When my flight was delayed due to personal reasons ,I spoke to [...] who was very courteous in assuring me that our rooms would be ready when we arrived. The staff in the Jeepney Restaurant could not have been more helpful. I love the international cuisine offered during breakfast. Last but not least, the parking lot attendants risked their lives to stop the notorious Manila traffic when we decided to cross the street to a rival restaurant.

the shopping malls across the street are classified from inexpensive to high-end.Facing the extreme left is SM Mall- (inexpensive) and the extreme right would be the most expensive (Greenbelt)Louis Vuitton,Cartier, etc . The five malls are interconnected with bridges. They each have their own food courts.
