Terry Selection in Podium for good Spanish food. ADB hangout. Solid wine selection. Good plcce to buy gifts if visiting locally and need to bring a bottle.

Great quality as always from the Shang. Disappointed they would not move me to Makati.
Hotel was as good as always. Only problem was that the folks I was working with had to shift from EDSA to Makati and I was absolutely SHOCKED that the Shang would not move me to that hotel without forcing me to pay for both rooms at the full rate ... essentially a penalty. I expected more from their customer service and may need to rethink my long-term commitment to their brand when I travel, Internationally.

customer service
I was misled by the receptionist that my upgrade include the breakfast buffet and i was charged inappropriately. i would suggest that the management train the staff about this matter so there will be no surprises at the check out time.

First time to stay and I was impressed.
First time to stay and I was impressed. The staff were very attentive. There's a bridge connector to Shangri-La Mall and it's a 5 minute walk to SM Megamall. It's within the Ortigas business district. Although the room was old, it was well-maintained. I stayed at both Shang Cebu and Makati but this was the best for me in terms of over-all guest experience.

Pleasant Experience
Edsa Shangri-La was in a good location, close to shopping malls, relatives, other areas in Manila. It was easier to get around without having to take public transportation. Edsa Shang had great restaurants but did not offer 'specials' to Balikbayans, just locals. The buffet was way too crowded but had some awesome food. The security people inside the hotel were paranoid, didn't greet us and made us feel uncomfortable overall. The staff were friendly and provided great service. The swimming pools got crowded with many nannys and at one point we even saw a little boy urinate right on the edge of the pool! don't swallow the pool water!

6 days of pampering
My sister and I traveled from USA and received excellent service from desk/concierge/room service and dietary staff. Everyone went out of their way to answer any questions or direct us. Due to Typhoon Parma the pool/garden areas were not accessible and was disappointed but realize out of hotel hands.
