Hatsu Hana Tei
Easily one of the best restaurants in town. Hatsu Hana Tei serves authentic dishes that only chefs steeped in Japans culinary art can produce. Coca Cafe is known for its casual elegance and cozy ambiance. Its menu is a fine dining delight and includes entrees like; Pan-Fried River Cobbler, Oven-Braised Lamb Shoulder, Pastas, Open-Faced Sandwiches, and a popular favorite

Upon arrival, I was greeted by name. The staff was welcoming and our room was great. They thought my friend and I were a couple when we booked, so when we showed up, they quickly found a different room to accommodate us.
Breakfast is included and
was delicious. There is a large variety of items to choose from on the menu. It is not continental or buffet, but much better food than you usually find on those.
The staff helped us arrange day tours, always hailed us taxis when needed, and provided general tips on restaurants, shopping, etc. Every single staff member was above and beyond friendly and helpful!!
The ONLY downside is the internet connection. My iPad wouldn't connect at all, and my friend's computer had limited access. There is a business center, but it is only one computer in the lobby. It is not private for skype, etc.
Other than the internet issue, I would stay here again!
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Download a map of Manila AND one of Intramuros before you go. Maps are hard to come by and if in the old city (Intramuros, Fort Santiago, etc.), people will want money to tell you directions or take you there via horse, bike, taxi. And there is no need - it is all close enough to walk.
