It's a nice Hotel, good for the price.
I't a nice hotel with friendly staff, just be careful with extras because they will be billed to your room. There are no free local calls on phone in your room and bottled water is extra if you ask for some at the free breakfast.

great location great food
First of all, the Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. What the room was lacking the morning buffet made up for a little. The food was very good and the staff was nice. The room was the problem. It was dark. The lighting is very poor. The furniture was uncomfortable. The bed was old but comfortable enough for me. The wiring was not safe. There is an on demand hot water heater under the sink in the bathroom and the connection for the wiring was out of the wall in the open where water could come in contact since the plumbing leaked too. All of the plumbing fixtures in the bathroom leaked and the toilet overflowed sometimes for no reason. There is a phone in the room but, no phone book or any brochures in the room to tell me what there is to do when I am there. I had to rely on the internet to find out but they wanted 100 Peso's an hour to use it which is a little over 2 dollars. The internet cafe just across the street is only 25 peso per hour. The location is great. Just a short cab ride to anything you want to do. Restaurants are very close and shopping is close too. The SM shopping mall is the biggest mall I have ever seen. All of the beach resorts are accessible and close. I stayed there because it was a good price for a 4 star hotel but, it was not a 4 star in my estimation. I would rate it a two at best. If the renovations were done and done correctly I might rate it a 3.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
If you go to the malls make sure you take some toilet paper with you because the restrooms in the malls and I mean all of the bathrooms don't have toilet paper. Oh and most of the toilets don't have seats. Restrooms are also few and difficult to find. Just ask any of the security guards and they will point you in the right direction. The malls are amazing and short cab rides away. SM mall and Ayala malls are the ones I would recommend and stay away from the Elisabeth mall down town. I went there and a security guard there said to not be there at night and there are alot of pickpockets so keep my wallet deep in my front pocket.

Great Service
Very friendly staff,very helpful, room service quick, currency exchange at front desk reasonable rate. Breakfast Buffet wide variety of local and American style foods very tasty, eggs/omlets cooked to order, good coffee. Beaches short taxi ride,taxis are reasonable make sure they use thier meters though.Shopping walking distance, SM Mall 10 minute taxi ride is huge. With exchange rate jewelry and everyday items are very inexpensive. The hotel is older but well maintained and very clean. Taxi stand at front door.
