Cebu City Marriott Hotel

Cebu downtown is not a place foreigners want to visit. The Marriott is the best city location if you don't want to be by the beach. Safe and excellent staff. Only prob is the food, I do agree..it is sad. Has been for a long time. But the hotel is connected by path to Cebus best mall, two minute walk gives you a large selection of restaurants

I chose this hotel because it was a global brand- Marriott. We were so disappointed with the food in the restaurants and the bar- from the breakfast, etc. The food they serve just looked "sad." It did not look fresh or appealing. The worst part is that the plate I got from the stack used for the buffet service - even had rice glued to it. The plate was supposed to have been washed...I dont know how and why there was still rice on the breakfast buffet plates. We stayed in a business suite - that was supposed to be non-smoking - but the hallway and the room wreaked. Housekeeping service was good. The housekeeping staff were courteous and did their jobs well - or as best as they could considering what they have to work with - smelly rooms. The front desk staff need training. After three days, at the check out - the supervisor even asked me how many guests checked in at our room. I could not believe a supervisor will ask that question at check out time. We booked for 2 rooms for our family. So the pain was worse. The only good thing about this hotel - was the security. All entrances are well guarded- even surpassing those hotels in Manila. This hotel is good if you want to be near the shops and city restaurants in Cebu. We would have gone mental if not for the superb restaurants in the nearby Ayala mall. BTW - our family visited Shangrila and Marco Polo for lunch and dinner. And all I can say - we definitely know where we wont be staying the next time we are in Cebu. The management of this hotel needs to lift their game.

We had two bookings and this review is from the guest of the other room I booked for our trip.... Rooms and hallways are wreak of cigar smell. You can always go to the restaurants for your meals as the food in the hotel is not really great. Internet is free and has good speed. Staff is courteous and try to help you all the time. I dont think we will be staying at the Marriott in Cebu again though.

overall experience was very good...but a hotel with these room rates should supply free internet service as do other hotels in this class...and the internet they have is very slow...an upgrade is in order...

Good location , right next to mall within walking distance

This was a nice hotel in a good location. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. Staff was courteous and friendly. The location was great due to Ayala Mall next door. The mall basically extended the facilities of the hotel like scenic walking, restaurants, grabbing a cup of coffee / beer with plenty of people passing by. The price was not bad but after seeing the country and economy, it can be considered a little high. The internet was expensive. Most places will provide the internet in the cost of the room. 24 hours ran over $20 USD, coincidentally you can buy dinner for two at TGI Fridays in the mall with all the beer you can drink for the same price. It was not a comparable value. 3.5 out of 5.0

The hotel is built to next to Ayala Mall. Beautiful rooms. Singer and, or a musician for entertainment at night in the hotel lobby. Temperature in room is adjustable. Beautiful views from the rooms. Extremely friendly and professional staff. Opulent building.

we had alot of fun but the prices for can cokes was way too expensive. I had to pay P280 for 2 cokes there in hotel
