Alta Cebu Village Garden Resort

I visited this resort in January and was surprised at the disparity of mixed reviews I'm reading here. It's true, the resort is a bit remote and and secluded from the mainstream, however for me that was an ideal situation. If you choose to walk outside of the resort, which I did, you will encounter poverty as the surrounding area is impoverished. The people are equally friendly and never once did I feel endangered. The food choices were limited as I heard in the reviews, but I remember the owner was meeting with a Chef while I was there who was evaluating and making suggestions on improving the menus. I don't know where they are with that, but overall I felt it was a reasonable value and I will be booking a two night stay upon completion of this review.

While we were at the Alta we didnt do much there is nothing to do. to get a Taxi it take 15 to 30 min to get one. For food all you have is there food which is very spendy. Its very unsafe at night to go walk around. The guys there were always hitting on our 14 yr old daughter. It made my wife and daughter feel unsafe. The pool while we were there was dirty. Taxi drivers will not go in there after dark because they get robbed. We heard and learned alot from taxi cabs from down town. Also from my brother in law who is a security gaurd in cebu. So if your looking for a nightmare of a vacation check it out.

the location's far from the city but for me its okay since its really a quiet place were in you can relax and enjoy the place...The service was very good the staff are accommodating and the cleanliness of the place's very good.

Alta resort is not far from the Mactan international airport. Approximately it takes about 20 mins by the shuttle bus which is arranged by the resort. The driver was waiting for me and my husband right outside of the airport and he took us to the resort even though it was fast midnight. The resort is in the middle of no where but it had everything that we wanted. There was not any hasseling by crowd so we could enjoy relaxing time. All staff members were generally nice and kind but at times they didn't have exact information. Even the owner of the resort was so kind and friendly. He was willing to listen to the guests. There was only one restaurant and a bar which was a bit disappointing but it can't be an object of complaints as it never got busy when we were staying there. Neighborhood was a bit of shocking scene because of poverty but people were nice once you try to know them. All the garden surrounding lodges were really good. The owner of the resort put lots of efforts in it we could see. Over all, it was a good choice to stay there and i am sure that the resort won't disappoint you either.

The resort exceeded our expectations. The attaractions and facilities are unique. Truly the resort was developed by an owner who is creative and passionate about the value provided and the overall vacation experience experience.

The hotel is VERY far from the city so taxi drivers ask for extra money on top of your existing fare. The kitchen staff was very lousy. For breakfast we ordered the same thing everyday. Eggs sunny side up, toast bread, jam, butter, fruit, and juice. The eggs were almost always runny. The toast was barely toasted or burnt. My fiance ordered plain scrambled eggs and got red onions, pepper and ham. Once I ordered scrambled eggs and got tomatoes, white onions, and pepper. Once she ordered and omelet and it was really runny. For lunch we ordered chicken sandwiches. We got soft toast bread, tons of mayo, hardly any chicken, and tomato and cucumber. The menu said nothing of tomatoe and cucumber so they don't know their own menu, plus we waited an hour for that mistake!! On top of this when I checked in I was hit with a$200 deposit I was never informed of when I booked. [...] Look elsewhere unless you don't mind the distance or leaving to get good food.

スタッフのサービスはとても良いホテルです。部屋も綺麗です。 ただし、立地が少し不便なので、本当に隠れ家的には、良いでしょう。 価格もそこそこですし。確か、私の予約の部屋のは電子レンジがある・・はずでしたが、影も形もありませんでした。温水シャワーもついてるはずが、壊れていたようで、冷水でした・・・。スタッフに聞いたら、温水が良いのですか？と反対に不思議な顔をされました。フロントに尋ねたら部屋が満室で他には移れないと言われましたが、近くにいたスタッフに聞いたら、隣の部屋が空いてるので移っていいとす に変えてくれました。　インターネットはちゃんとつながります。 部屋はそこそこです。機会があればもう一度泊っても良いかなとはおもいます。 ただし、温水シャワーが出ることを確認のうえ。
