In the center of the magical city of Cusco only half block from the Main Square is Hostal El Triunfo , behind the Cathedral, where you will find a warm welcome and will feel at home.
Fascinating is the history of this city, coffer of legends and traditions, where survive the ages that show us with bright light in each stone the resurrection of the past, like all the ages were together in an hug of immortal life.

For first two days, it was cold so I requested to turn the heat on, I was told that would be 6 soles. Breakfast was so so. next day, they transferred me to hotel next with a room 250 sq. ft. There was no room to put my bag, bathroom was small too.
if you want coffee, either you pour hot water on coffee syrup or instant coffee. Horrible.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
if you are planning to visit Machupichu, please do not book the whole stay at Cuzco, you should divide the nights with 1 night in Agua caliente and visit machupichu, 1 night in Puno and visit Lake Titicaca, and Two nights in cuzco to visit sacred valley etc.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality given the economical price. The staff was very friendly, prompt at cleaning the room. They let me check in early the day I arrived which was a huge help since I was going out exploring. Location was
perfect- just a block from the main square. Nothing fancy, but adequate. It is a hostel so you can hear a lot of noise, but nothing that was really problematic. I would recommend if for someone looking for economical lodging.
