About as close as you can get to Cuscos Cathedral and beautiful Main Plaza without actually being on the busy square. Intimately identified with the Cuscos illustrious history the hotel occupies a colonial building with iconic green balconies and red tiles and features an exposed Inca stone wall in the hotel lobby. Several rooms have coveted views of the Plaza and Compania de Jesus church.
Cusco the Incas monumental city that has become a popular and lively travelers mecca abounds with opportunities for exploring the citys colonial and Inca history viewed in the citys fascinating historic core and at numerous archaeological sites just beyond the city limits. Outdoors enthusiasts dont have to get far outside of Cusco to enjoy the rural Andean countryside.

I booked this room a bit last minute (but hey, that happens to all of us sometimes, right?) because they had a fair mid-range price and it wasn't far from the main square in Cusco. I had also seen some advertising for it on the airplane, in a few
travel mags, and other places.
When I checked in, the staff were either very busy or things were very hectic...they forgot what they were doing halfway through the process, as other travelers came in they focused on them, and they gave me the wrong key three times.
My room was large enough, but the bathroom had used bath products in it. Yuck! I only stayed a few minutes to drop my things off, and asked them to clean it up on the way out. When I got back that evening, things were taken care of in the bathroom, but then when I took a shower, the tub didn't drain. Yuck #2!!!
I realized when I got into bed the walls were very thing as I could hear the conversation in the next room. At least I had ear plugs, so I slept with those. I woke up around 4:00 am....ITCHY!!!! I got out of bed and found seven BUG BITES. UGH. So, I cleaned myself up the best I could, went down to check out...which went fine all things considered, just that they didn't understand what I was talking about with bug bites, even when I showed them my legs and arms. I ended up getting to the airport four hours early just to get out of there.
I wish my experience had lived up to their advertising, because the hotel looked and sounded very nice in the ads. I was really surprised.
If you do stay here, just beware the bug thing, and avoid room 219. I will also be writing the company to see if they can give me a refund. We'll see what happens...... :(
