One of the best-equipped hotels in Arequipa -a large contemporary construction of sillar -white volcanic stone- very well located and with a full complement of facilities and services to host both good-sized groups as well as business and independent travelers. Though just a 6-block walk to the Plaza and Santa Catalina Convent the hotel is in a safe and relaxed neighborhood removed from the bustle of Arequipas busy bars and heaviest downtown traffic. With a 4th-floor terrace and clear views of El Misti volcano its perfect for enjoying Arequipas ever-present sunshine. Arequipa is Perus most elegant city a remarkable colonial collection of sillar constructions. Its complement of colonial buildings which include casonas -manor houses- convents and churches are some of the most refined and historic in Peru. Yet the city -ringed by snow-capped volcanoes- is nearly as well known for the gorgeous rural scenery only minutes away and Arequipa has quickly become a destination for outdoors enthusiasts and adventure travelers. Experiencing Arequipa means exploring its rich colonial heritage but also getting outdoors for whitewater rafting and biking and relaxed exploration of the beautiful countryside.

After a long drive from Lima I was welcomed with a room upgrade to a suite with a jaccuzi. In the morning I awoke rested and headed to the buffet breakfast, very good.up to a roof top 360 view of the volcanos, Awsome . Great experience.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
Go see the condors , so leave an extra day for adventure.
Hotel is located on a main street headed to the city center; convenient for navigation but a good walk to get there. Hotel room is fine, but the way the building is built, sounds could be heard from neighboring rooms thru the ventilation, as well
as sounds from the floor outside and rooms above. Overall okay, but not in line with our previous experience at a different Casa Andina Classic hotel.
