Overnight stay in Panama City
We had a one night stay prior to our cruise so we didn't get a chance to utilze all the hotel had to offer. However, at the time of booking the information given was that the hotel was a few minutes from the Panama City airport but that was not the case. A good thing was they held our reservation as we got into Panama late. Breakfast was included in our stay.

Orbitz and Hotel Clash
We had 3 in our group, registered by Orbitz. The hotel stated that Orbitz had only paid them for 2 people. We were allowed to continue in the room. I emailed customer support from Orbitz and it took them 2 days of bickering back and forth to correct the problem. They told me to contact the hotel even though I had told them in the email sent to customer service.

Don't pay hotel for long distance calls or internet use. Right across the street is a cybercafe that was extremely nice, spoke English, and cheap. Calls and internet very reasonable. He even has drinks and some light snacks.

Nice pool area
The room standard is very simple. Basiccally plain walls, a bed, a chair, a table and a TV. The batchroom is clean and well equipped. Nothing fancy but OK. The room safes didn't work from the beginning in either of our two rooms and it took more than two whole days before they were fixed. The breakfast buffe was very good and varied. The location was fine, in an area where it seemd safe to go for a walk and where there were lots of shops and restaurants on walking distants. The absolute highlight was the pool. It was located in an inner garden with nice threes and shiedled from the ambience of traffic and people. It was small but never crowded and just as pleasant for a swim in the morning as for a game of arcd and a drink in the evening. I would go there again if I would return to Panama City.

There is a nice Japanese restaurant on the same street just at the oposite corner of the block. I forgot the name but it was well woth a visit.

the restaurant Marin Fierro the best for steak, we visit several times. The hotel should have a discount coupons for the guess.
