I thought I was getting a good deal!

Just used the hotel to go in the afternoon, take a shower and rest. The wall air conditioning unit was good, but could only set it on high and cold. The bed(s): were suppossed to be one twin and one queen, but there was only one queen. The bed was dented in the middle, so I had to struggle/fight to stay on my side all night. The pillows were worn and smelled dusty. The shower water was lukewarm the first day, ok the other days. The breakfast bar was fine. The hotel attendants were very friendly, humble, and willing to help people. The hotel photos on the internet are deceiving, far from reality. The hotel is located in a noisy, poor section of town that not all the taxi drivers wanted to go. The bath towels were rags, the bed sheets and pillowcases were also very worn.

Cheap but non-existent service

We stayed at this hotel because it was inexpensive compared to others in Panama City and we only needed a place to stay for the night before catching a plane out of Panama. The hotel rooms are nothing like the pictures. They are very sparse, old and in need of repair. Everything worked (AC, TV, shower) but there were no blankets on the bed, just a sheet and we were provided with 2 towels (for 4 of us). There was no ice, I went downstairs to find some and the front desk worker was not happy with me when I insisted I needed some (for our baby's milk as there was no fridge). When we arrived the other front desk workers were rude, did not help us at all with our luggage- just sat there and watched us struggle with all of our bags and the kids. I had asked about an airport shuttle when we arrived just to see what the price would be-$35- so we made alternate arrangements. The next morning as we are loading our bags in our airport transport the front desk lady starts yelling at me that I had booked a shuttle with her (probably her relative) and that I owed the money as he was waiting outside. I told her I merely asked the price and was not going to pay. She was obviously very upset with me-saying rude comments in Spanish. The staff at this hotel are HORRIBLE! The elevator is scary- the door will just shut on you and has no sensor if someone or something is in the way. This is VERY dangerous especially if you have young children. The free breakfast doesn't start until 7:30 am so we were gone to the airport long before that-I can't comment on it. The location of the hotel is not too bad. You can see the ocean (if you look hard!) and there are many places to eat (if you are adventurous and not afraid of food stalls!). The hotel is inexpensive but I think the price they charge is still too high considering there are zero ammennities and the decrepit state of the building. I would not stay there again. We have stayed at beautiful hotels in Panama for even less!

Barely passible

We stayed at this hotel only one night before we left Panama. The taxi driver who took us there said not to leave without calling a taxi because of the dangerous neighborhood. The room was clean and air conditioned, but the mattress kept slipping to one side and the bathroom door looked like it had been through a war and just barely survived. Only occasionally did we find a channel on the TV that was in English and the WIFI wasn't strong enough in the room. We had to go to the lobby to get a good signal.
