we arrived midday only to be upgraded to a seaside room in their new wing. The room had a fantastic view overlooking the ocean. The hotel is ideally located so you have a great view plus there is a proper beach down a few stairs. plus a heated
pool right out the door. We also opted for the 25R/day add on of free breakie, lunch and what we made supper-snacks in the evening with free drinks included. There is also a complimentary shuttle to the souk which we took advantage of. We are definitely coming back!
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
The all day food was all one needs as when staying at hotels it seems that I overeat with all of those large meals. This way, we didn't leave feeling stuffed.
Very nice hotel - modern with all the conveniences. Smooth professional management. But the location - wow. It is high on a cliff overlooking the ocean about half way between airport and the city. Small white sands beach. A view to die
for. Location is within a suburban very upscale residential part of town.
Muscat is very beautiful and the hotel is in a prime location to take advantage of the beauty. The lobby spoke elegance which was not reflected in the hallways leading to the rooms. The rooms were ok. My husband and I took a weekend getaway from
Abu Dhabi and enjoyed Muscat's beauty, the friendliness of the hotel staff and the relaxing atmosphere.
