When i first got out of the cab i knew it was going to be bad,but i went in anyway.Check-in was ok but when i left the lobby i was in for the surprise of my life. One out of two elevators was down the other one you had to push both buttons at once
or it would not open. When i got off on the third floor i was hit with the smell of mildew and dogs##t but hay what dog can resist dirty green indoor-outdoor carpet. As i walked to my room i went past a row of empty rooms that had been gutted and the doors were open or kicked in, my room was next to one that was kicked in.When i opened the door to my room it smelled musty and unclean. The carpet was old and worn out but the tv worked the tub and toilet looked sort of nasty, the sink was ok except for the leakey faucet.I sat on the bed in SHOCK i was only in the hotel for about twenty minutes and i knew i had to go, i never unpacked my bag.I went out in search of another room i was lucky to find a room about four blocks away after i checked-in i went back got my bag and checked-out.As far as amenities go the bar was shut down the pool was empty and the sundeck was locked with a chain but the hotel is pet friendly. This place truly has gone to the dogs the board of health needs to shut this place down. Please do not take this review the wrong way i mean no negitive feelings tward the city just the DAYS-INN.Once i left the hotel, i found NEW ORLEANS to be one of the best citys i ever visited the food/ music are second to no one.The people truly are the hart&soul of the city. 05-30 07
