Great location and nice hotel
Great breakfast and good location. Train to airport is about 30min. Very nice rooms and unique lounge on the roof overlooking the city. If Mick Jagger liked it I'm sure you will too.

A grand-old style-hotel (1880s flavour), very pleasant and bang in the middle of town close to the metro (which you can occasionally hear briefly rumbling in the depths). Staff is very friendly and helpful the breakfast excellent with a distinct Scandiniavian touch (e.g. orange raspberry-looking fruit called cloud-berry).

Great Family Vacation
A great place to share with your family. It had everything we had hoped for. Great location, good friendly service, free internet, heated pool, good breakfast selection included in the room rate, reasonable special hotel rate during our visit. I would recommend the place highly for its location and service. We had a great time together as a family and the hotel made it happen. A very memorable and historic place.

Enjoyed our stay
We arrived at 7:30 AM from our cruise, and our room was ready for that day. The room was very clean and comfortable. The instant coffee and tea was a welcome site. The front desk was helpful in getting us a restaurant reservation, and the breakfast the next morning was outstanding with a wide selection of eggs, fruits, breads, seafood, meats and juices. The best aspect of this hotel is the location which is right on Karl Johan's Gate, the main street in Oslo. It's perfect for walking to all the sites except the Viking Museum, but you can walk to Aker Brygge and take the ferry over and back. We even walked to Vigeland Park to view the sculptures.

Oslo Tourist
Could use a little freshning up
Great location, friendly staff - but our first room was tiny, stinky and musty and the bed was saggy. We immediately asked for a better room and the staff obliged. The second room was serviceable - but for a hotel with such a great reputation, we were underwhelmed. We're looking forward to our next trip to Oslo, but we will probably stay in a different hotel.

pas de mauvaises surprises dans ce genre de grand hôtel, suite très agréable et petit déjeuner extra et très copieux - emplacement idéal pour être au coeur de la ville et la visiter - idéal pour week-end en amoureux
