A really nice 1970 /80's style hotel overlooking the harbour. Good sized, comfortable room. Good breakfast with a wide rage of hot and cold dishes. The only downside was that the breakfast finished spot-on 9.30 am when all the dishes were removed!
Ok for business people but not so good if you're on a leisurely holiday.
The staff were helpful. We particularly liked the self- service area in the foyer where you can buy sandwiches, drinks, etc at a reasonable price........and get free coffee!
Alesund itself is a lovely town with many beautiful art nouveau buildings. However 2 days is probably enough unless you have a car and use it as a base to explore the wider area.
