Nomads Capital Backpackers Wellington Rooms
- Elite Double
- Room with one queen bed includes ensuite bathroom, SKY TV, heater, bed linen and towels.
- Standard Twin
- Contains a Double Bed with single bunk above and ensuite bathroom. Rate is base on 2 pax per room. third party can stay at $20 to be paid at reception upon check in.

one of the best hostel in kiwiland that I stayed. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and spacious. I stayed in a 10 bed dorm. I didn't really have to run into each other, as compare to other 10 bed room dorms. However, some of the sinks were clogged up (not completely), but didn't get it fixed during my stay. But this is only a minor issue compare to all the postives. Another thing is the wifi. You have to pay NZ$ 8 / day. or $4 / hour. I think they should've made this free, as literally you have free wifi across the street 24/7 - as city provide it in most of the areas.

The best thing about this hotel
The best thing about this hotel is the location. The bar next door also does free dinner meals from 6-7pm every night which is good. Not too impressed with the "housekeeping" staff, who opened our door on more than one occasion on the same day BEFORE 10 AM. Initiallhy they asked if we wanted our rubbish cleared - there was no rubbish to clear as we had arrived very late the night before. Houskeeping kept entering our room asking additional questions like "are you sure you dont want your rubbish emptied?" or, "how about your bathroom?" or "how about your towels?". For the two mornings following they did not appear, by which time our rubbish was in need of emptying. The room itself is fine if you're planning to be out and about all day long. The price only reflects the fact that you're getting a small bathroom. We had a double bed and single bed in the room, at an awkward angle so the only space for the television was right next to the large bed (50cm away from your face)

We had the choice of other places
We had the choice of other places to stay but decided on Nomads and pleasantly surprised by Nomads - we will stay there again.

I used this hotel because of close
I used this hotel because of close proximity to Te Papa Museum. I found personnel very helpful. Each day presented with a card for free dinner! I ordered a steak with extras which was not an unreasonable cost. It was excellent and cooked to perfection by a young chef. Plenty of places around if a full breakfast is required. So happy with my stay.

If you are wanting to party, this
If you are wanting to party, this is an ideal place. The bar has great deals on drinks & meals. If you are a family, or just wanting somewere to chill out & relax, this would not be the place for you. The music is extreamly loud & sleeping would be next to impossible. Overall I would rate this place about a 6/10.

Good location for Te Papa conf
Good location for Te Papa conference. My biggest concern about this hotel was the state of the bed linen which was obviously not washed between clients. Bathroom was clean and my 3rd floor room was quiet.

I am really "impressed" the service
I am really "impressed" the service provided by the hotel. I paid for late check out but service staff came into my room without checking this while my partner and me were still sleeping.
