I stay in Hotel / Motels approx 5 nights a month over the last 18 months. James Cook Wellington would be one of the best I have stayed in . Food was great ,rooms very good !. Only one gripe ..I was asked at reception when checking out if I had used anything from mini bar ? which I hadn,t but were phoned a couple of hours later to be asked about two drinks (orange) missing from bar? Will be staying again and please keep me informed of any other deals /specials within your group.

I was impressed that the receptionist
I was impressed that the receptionist knew that i had stayed recently , but I wasn't impressed to get an $18 parking fee. Please be up front with the parking fee. It wouldn't have made any difference to where we stayed but at least there would be no surprises.

The James cook Hotel in Wellington
The James cook Hotel in Wellington is a good location near the shopping areas, banks and supermarket. Service is good and the price - the hotel always offer special rate per room/ night and good for 3 to 4 people on standard rooms., not like other hotels only good for 2 people /room. Very clean and the staff are very helpful. Definitely , next time I'll go to Wellington;I'll book again on this Hotel. .

We have stayed at the James Cook
We have stayed at the James Cook many times. It's easy access to the shopping district as well as the entertainment areas of Wellington make it the place to stay for us. The staff are always polite, efficient and nothing too much trouble. The valet parking is excellent and very reasonably priced. We had problems with our electric jug, it was fixed in minutes. The only thing we would like to see changed is the cafe bar in the reception area to be open on a more regular basis. We are never sure what the hours of operation are as they are not always open when advertised. When the cafe bar has been operating it is very pleasant to sit and have a drink or light meal. It should be open when it says it will be, not keep guest guessing.
