Our room was very small. The "rent a movie option" was always unavailable as they share this programme with other hotels so the lines are always too busy. When we complained that night and the next morning no one seemed to care.

Had a mix up with the breakfast
Had a mix up with the breakfast deal and staff was very rude. They charged my credit card without asking. Quite an unpleasant experience. Would not go back again.

Crowded comfort
The sound-proofing was fantastic as our room was opposite the elevator but we heard nothing. Down-side: very cramped quarters. Once you bring in the luggage there's little room to move but the beds were comfortable. Breakfast had the usual range of cereal, eggs, etc. Easy walk to downtown and the lake.

A pleasant surprise
We were looking for low price and did not expect the high quality we got for our money. I would recommend the Ibis to anyone.

This hotel is well situated by Lake Rotorua and near the city centre and offers good facilities for a very reasonable price. Could probably have more staff on to speed up check in, but staff were very friendly. I would be happy to stay there again.
