Nice and value for money
This is a family friendly esablishment with value for money service: although the rooms seem small the price makes it worthy... Nice view on Lake Rotorua and close by amenities such as fine restaurants, business center and shops. Very professional staff. Free parking.

Having booked into the Hotel Ibis
Having booked into the Hotel Ibis Rotorua early, I found the reception staff extremely helpful as our room would not be ready until later in the day but they managed to find a vacant room which we could change in as we had a reception to attend. I also had booked our reservation online a couple of days earlier only to find they had an marvelous deal for that date. We also had breakfast at the hotel which was plentiful, good variety, and the "hot "foods were just that, Hot! Yes I would recommend this hotel and the situation for the lake and other cafe/resturants was within a couple of minutes walk.

We stayed for 2 nights and had a twin room (2 double beds). The room was clean and just what I've come to expect from Ibis. Only thing about the room would be the shower - needed a good clean - my 10 year old commented that it looked like someone had just taken a shower and the glass was all steamed up! Could do with a really good scrub. The location of Ibis Rotorua is excellent - right across the road from the lake with playground and market on Sunday morning. Great access to shopping - you can walk right down the middle of town to the Warehouse, Farmers and Rebel, etc. Good parking, but a bit tight in places. We walked and caught the local bus out to the airport for our flight $2.20 per person!! Much better than a shuttle or taxi! Would definately stay here again - shop around online for best rate.

Hotel was handily placed for restaurants and lake front and was away from main traffic and other hotels/motels. Room was smallish but more than adequate.

the accomodation suited the price
the accomodation suited the price very well. while the room was very small , we were only in it to sleep as there was too much to do. The hotel is situated in town very close to the lake. A lot of bus tours came and went in the three days we were there so I suppose the price suits the tour companies.

The Ibis is a very clean friendly
The Ibis is a very clean friendly hotel and would thoroughly recommend staying here! Very close to the lake, 5 min walk, and close to the shops and restaurants. Very enjoyable stay!
