City Lights is a new Boutique Lodge set in 2 acres of grounds half way up Mount Ngongotaha in the beautiful city of Rotorua. Opened in December 2008, hotel's are a purpose built Boutique Lodge offering spectacular views over the city, 3 beautiful en-suite rooms with sumptuous linens and drapes. Hotel can offer a top class service as well as privacy. Hotel has fantastic facilities including a guest lounge with computer station including FREE wireless broadband internet, real fire and heat pump/air conditioner. Offering plenty of off road parking for cars, trailers, and boats. Garage parking can be arranged if preferred. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with bathrobes, luxury toiletries, tea/coffee making facility, bottled water, walled mounted LCD TV, wall mounted CD/Radio, hairdryer, local art on walls, thermostatically controlled heaters, double glazed windows. Hotel's other facilities include a gym, outdoor spa, and infrared sauna. Laundry also available. Hotel has 2 mountain bikes available to guests at no charge. Hotel has been in the accommodation industry in Rotorua for over 6 years and welcome the chance to help you plan the most from your trip. Attractions and restaurant advice freely given and bookings can be made by your hosts on request. Hotel has 5 Alpacas, Angus the Goat, Jelly the Jack Russell and Snowy the cat - all guest friendly. - Tui Suite offers 1 queen bed & 1 sofa bed with alarm clock, balcony / terrace, bathrobe, bathroom amenities, CD player, color TV, en-suite / private bathroom, hairdryer, heating, internet access, kettle, laundry service, non-smoking rooms, radio and tea and coffee making facilities. The Tui Suite is hotel's largest luxury guest room with its own lounge area with wall mounted LCD TV, has a luxury massage shower and toiletries include soap, body wash, shampoo, facial cleanser and body lotion. There is a covered patio with table and chairs to enjoy the views just outside your room. Rate includes continental and cooked breakfast daily.
- Kea Room
- Kea Room offers 1 queen bed with alarm clock, balcony / terrace, bathrobe, bathroom amenities, CD player, color TV, disabled facilities, en-suite / private bathroom, hairdryer, heating, internet access, kettle, laundry service, non-smoking rooms, radio and tea and coffee making facilities. The Kea Room was designed with mobility issues in mind and has a large wet room style en-suite with grab rails and wheelchair friendly vanity basin. Luxury toiletries include soap, body wash, shampoo, facial cleanser and body lotion. Rate includes continental and cooked breakfast daily.
- Kiwi Room
- Kiwi Room offers 1 queen bed with alarm clock, balcony / terrace, bathrobe, bathroom amenities, CD player, color TV, en-suite / private bathroom, hairdryer, heating, internet access, kettle, laundry service, non-smoking rooms, radio and tea and coffee making facilities. The Kiwi Room enjoys spectacular views over the city and surrounding countryside and also has a table and chairs just outside. - If you are coming into town from Auckland/Hamilton on SH5 along Fairy Springs Road you need to turn right into Clayton Road when you get to the large traffic light junction (Fairy Springs/Lake Road junction). Approx 3kms along Clayton road you need to turn right into Mountain Road, then approx 1 km along you will see hotel's sign for City Lights on your left.
