Nice hotel, friendly staff. Wi-Fi not up to date, no wireless in room and they charge for the service.Nice view from rooms on the lakeside of the hotel.

Secluded with good views

If you like secluded place then this is best one. Its quite far from city center so need to have your own vehicle or depend on cabs/bus for transportation to city center from where tours depart. Also all restaurants are far away from this hotel.

Second time staying in this hotel

It was great to be back again in Queenstown and in the Mercure hotel. We had a fantastic time again. Audry at checkin was very kind and helpful and made us feel welcomed. The hotel hasn't change much over the last 4 years since we first stayed there, but it was nice and clean as always. There is free wifi in the lobby which is great, but the data limit is only 8mb, so it only lasted for a few minutes. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the town with an absolutely fantastic scenery, so it is worth walking instead of taking a car or jumping on the bus. Would definitely stay there again.

Comfortable

They have very good lake view but you have to pay extra to upgrade from standard room. I chose garden view room because of my limit budget. It is also good view, very wide, clean, confortable room. But I suggest that they could offer free special to upgrade to lake view room for some customers who will stay there 2 or more nights if the rooms are not full. Just keep customers happy, why not?

Needs Upgrading

We had an upgrade to a room with a view of the lake which was awesome. However the room was in severe need of an upgrade itself. Old furniture, chairs frayed at the armrests and dirty. Carpet with stains. The bathroom you had to run the hot water tap of the shower for ages before it started to get warm let alone hot. All in all a very disappointing room.

location is excellent, but rooms need to be redone....

the hotel location is fabulous, away from the town but the door to door bus service is an added bonus. the rooms were very disappointing and the bed are.awefull on a wheelie base which move over very easily on ur movemement. house keeping needs to improve a lot sunce the room wasn't cleaned ghoroughly. wud still prefer the Rydges lake land.
