Autumn Escape

Good location, great views plus good sized comfortable room. However the following are a let down. The hotel did not have a lift to our floor! The 1 hour daily free wifi would not work properly. The in-room service food was substandard. Parking not sufficient. If these items are sorted out the Heritage Queenstown would become a great hotel.

NiceViews, Good Value

We stayed 2 nights at the Heritage. The room was very nice, included a kitchenette fully supplied, even had a washer/dryer. The bed was very comfortable. Marble in bath, which had separate shower and tub. Balcony with table and chairs, and very large room. My only complaint was the wifi, which was advertised as free. In the room it had a card to tell of the cost. I called the desk to ask about free wifi, and was told I had to go to the lobby, and was allocated one (continuous) hour a day for free from the lobby, only. Location to town is a bit far, and we had to drive, and try to find parking. Pool and spa were very nice, also. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Beautiful hotel, a couple minor issues

The hotel was beautiful and the staff friendly. Our flight was delayed and we were a day late but still had to pay for it, even though we notified them as soon as we knew. It was nice they had a currency exchange however the clerk that assisted us did the exchange incorrectly and we lost money. It was too late by the time we realized it. Wifi is available in room however it costs $10 every 24 hours.

Room with no view!

Unfortunately this pricy hotel gave us a room in what they call the 'Waterfall Wing' - no waterfall or maybe we needed wings to find the view. We asked for a change to a room with a view they were happy to give us one for $50 extra per day. We declined and decided to spend that money on a good dinner every night instead out in Queenstown. A more clear description of the rooms view at the time of booking would be beneficial - reception staff a bit stiff - need to loosen up.

Too hot

No air conditioning! On check in our room was stiflingly hot. The hotel has no air-con so all they could offer was a fan. Spent the entire hot weekend with windows and doors open and 2 fans on to try and circulate air and cool it down.

Perfect position for all Queenstown Activities.

Although only in house for a few days, I felt I should have booked to stay for longer. Great spot, easy access to all activities I was interested in, very friendly staff, and nothing seemed to be rushed or frenetic. Helped me to slow right down and enjoy what the town had to offer. Thank you
