Great value

The Heartland was a great value. The room was clean and very comfortable. It was just a 10 minute walk into town. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I was able to leave my gear bag there while I went hiking for a week. The breakfasts were hearty and the dinners I had there were excellent.

Clean and spacious room. air condition

Clean and spacious room. air condition and heater provided. polite staff and offered 24 hours check in. enjoyed our stay there. will definitely stay again next time.

Location good but rather average

Location good but rather average room quality - seem to have been in a time warp as the last renovations had probably happened late eighties - early nineties. Beds far too soft as well as too short (180 cm long = too short for current standards). First room that we had had some sort of a leak underneath the carpet as it remained wet. Second room that we stayed in had a leaking tap. Needed some amenities (razor blade) which was provided at 1.5 NZ$ / razor blade (I'd expect such services to be freely available given the hotel pricing). On the more positive side: Staff was friendly and helpful. Tough for the staff however to make up for the room quality - i.e. no renovations / bedding changed for at least 20 years!

Rooms are tidy but need some TLC

Rooms are tidy but need some TLC to replace cracked toilet bowl, light fittings have missing covers, etc. Room extremely noisy near Stanely Street. Not value for money.

it was amazing, the stay here,

it was amazing, the stay here, we were given the tellis rooms in the front of the hotel, so basically you get the lake view and all that jazz, it was awesome. shame it did not come with a kitchenette, but what gives, YOU'RE IN QUEENSTOWN. amazing place. also, because its nearing the end of winter festival when i was there, i only managed to book this hotel for one night and stayed out the rest of my days in comfort inn which is right behind this hotel. good too, but nothing near the coziness and awesomeness of this hotel. Heartland, I <3 you.

Deceptive size from outside but

Deceptive size from outside but the room I stayed in is pretty large and the view that you get is great. Good location, near to the town as well.
