This is an excellent property for those touring the West Coast glacier region. this property suits independent and family travellers rather than groups due to the limited number of rooms. Fantastic location in the centre of the township and practically impossible to miss when arriving by road from either direction. Good quality touring accommodation. SE0508 This is a low rise one storey building predominantly built of glass and steel. There is an overhead canopy above the entrance to the rooms. On the main road in the Centre of Fox Glacier township. Fox glacier is on the West coast of the south island of New Zealand. From Christchurch 445 kms by road. From Queenstown 380kms by road.

I had requested a non-smoking with 2 twin beds and en-suite bath. We were escorted to our room by the reception which I thought was a nice touch. We were offered milk for our tea or coffee. The non-smoking room itself was a very nice size with
a nice size bath. In fact it was the largest room on our trip. We had two king size beds with good pillows. Fox Glacier is very small and the motel was in a perfect location. I can highly recommend this motel. We rated all the motels we stayed in during our trip on a scale of 1 to 10. We gave this hotel a 9. And yes we did have some hotels that were a 6.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
There is a small grocery store in Fox Glacier. However, when we went to buy food for lunch they did not have any bread and did not expect any until that afternoon. So pick up your picnic foods before you get there. The rooms have refrigerators.
