The Riccarton Village Inn offers you a personal, friendly service and comfortable, clean accommodation facilities. Situated in the heart of Riccarton, a vibrant inner city suburb, it is an easy walk to Westfield shopping mall and many of Christchurch's best-loved attractions. We are also the closest hotel to the Christchurch Railway station. All our rooms are quiet, comfortable, clean and spacious with ensuites, Satellite Television and coffee/tea making facilities. We have disabled facilities and ample parking to accommodate tour coaches and up to 45 cars. Our staff are friendly, service minded, thoughtful, and ready to provide you with the information you need to make the most of your stay in Christchurch, New Zealand. We look forward to seeing you and we know you will enjoy every moment of your stat at the Riccarton Village Inn. Just off Riccarton Road, set in a quiet back section setting. No traffic noise. 10 minute walk to the nearest shopping mall, by car it is approximately 3 minutes to railway station, 5 minutes to CBD of Christchurch, 10-15 minutes to airport.

Overall it was a good place to

Overall it was a good place to stay. I would stay there again. They are currently (May-June 2011) renovating which is a good thing as some of the rooms were outdated. The location is close to all transport and restaurants, but not on Riccarton Road which is noisy.

Given that the earthqukes were

Given that the earthqukes were still happening we were welcomed at the Hotel and found they were doing extremely well at keeping everything normal. A great place to stay with helpfull staff willing to accomodate our needs

No soap in bathroom ,paint falling

No soap in bathroom ,paint falling off the shower ,a noisy fan going all night ! I asked were my morning paper was ,and was told if I wanted to read one I should go down to the office . I paid for a king size room and bed what I got was was a king size bed and a set of bunk beds in a very small room . Check your room and services before you pay !!

Greeted warmly late evening. Check in process quick. Room was comfortable. Facilities I never investigated due to late evening arrival and early morning check out.

Good place to stay, friendly managment

Good place to stay, friendly managment and staff. Would recommend using this hotel. 9pm closing of reception was a little early for the time of year with daylight saving.
