We enjoyed two brief stays in this hotel. We found that it met our requirements and also found the shuttle service to Cathedral square particularly useful.

Did not get the room booked but
Did not get the room booked but eventually got this sorted and a minor upgrade. Were told would have good view but could only see a tree and the roof of another building! I wonder what the other view was like? Room quite cramped but comfortable and would stay again. Pool good although outdoors and spa very full so not able to use this facility. Need to drive into town. There is a shuttle but have to book and last return from city very early so no good for returning from dinner. Bar comfortable and reasonably priced.

We only stayed one night and found the room to be clean and comfortable all though the place could do with an update, starting to look tired in places but for the price it was fine. Room was rather "stuffy" at night and air conditioning too noisy to have running all the time

wouldnt go back unless the cleanliness
wouldnt go back unless the cleanliness had been addressed very large cobwebs inside very dirty windows behind net curtains not really good enough.

Bit disappointed with the room
Bit disappointed with the room view to car park and size if paid full value for room would not have stayed there for 4 days. Staff were excellent and need more information for internet access.

Farther from center of town, comfy amenities
We stayed here one night before heading to the airport early. I thought it was closer to the town. There is a nice botanic gardens within walking distance. You can take a bus to get to town center. It's about 2-1/2 miles from the canter berry museum. The hotel had a/c tv iron, fridge, coffee pot hairdryer, heated drying rack for towels. There is a nice place to eat 2 blocks away next to a convenience store running bull had lovely salad and pizza, burgers. We used super shuttle to get to the airport. The front desk made the booking.

Excellent hotel
Only problem we had with this hotel was that it was some way from the shops, although it did have a shuttle bus on Thursdays and Fridays to the very large Riccarton mall. Restaurant was very good.
