Great Auckland Location
We stayed in one of their apartment rooms with a kitchen and washer/dryer. For a long trip, this was perfect. Location was excellent as well. Couple blocks to downtown Queen Street and also walkable to Parnell Street. We would absolutely go back!

Try to get to Parnell St. It is a 10 minute walk and it goes uphill, but it is well worth it. Cool little shops, restaurants and coffee places.

You get what you pay for
For the money, the room was OK. Clean and had the essentials including a refrigerator, cooktop and microwave oven. However, the local mini-marts didn't have much that you would want to cook. Parking was $28 a day - kind of expensive. The rooms were noisy, so it was hard to sleep. The gym was not what I expected. If you are expecting to get in a good work out, forget it. If you only want a sauna, it's ok. When you arrive, park in front of the entry way as they only have valet parking. The people were very nice, but the hotel overall is a bit over rated. Looks better on the website than it really is. Location was good - walking distance to lots aall of downtown Auckland.

Nice stay
Pros: * Pretty cheap, great location, some of the staff are excellent Cons: * can take a while for houskeeping people to come through * for some rooms it's impossible to connect your computer to the tv (even though there are plenty of connectors on the back of the tv) * some of the staff aren't quite as excellent

Great for long stays
The Quad is central to most everything in Auckland, a short walk to the art gallery, the Domain, ferries to Devonport and Waiheke, High Street, Queen Street. We stayed for a couple of months and found it to be convenient and comfortable and quiet except for the occasional holiday weekend . The rooms feature a washer.dryer and a little cooktop, dishwasher, microwave and fridge and our room had a nice terrace; maid service was steady. All in all, an excellent place to stay.

The Old Government House in the park across the street from the Quad has a dining room with good lunches (fabulous lamb shank; great chicken burgers). Unbelievably reasonably priced! It's part of the university campus so it's populated by teachers!

Good one night stay
Had a good one night stay here. Our flight got in before check-in and the hotel allowed us to check in early since our room was ready, they also let us borrow an adapter to charge our electronic devices. Easy check-in and check-out process.

Sky Tower food court had some good cantonese style roast duck with noodle soup we also had dinner at the Snob which was also pretty good.

Great deal, great location
Great suite for room prices! Mini kitchens plus washer/dryer, dishwasher, separate bedroom, sitting area. Only downside is a small bathroom with limited counter space. Location is perfect to access downtown and waterfront, walking distance to Parnell and most areas. Free wi-fi made the stay perfect.

Good start but needs some polish on the details
The Good: Clean room, spacious, good amenities in room. I had a corner room and two balconies which was nice. In room washer/dryer was really convenient. Room service was ok, if a tad expensive. The Not Good: Some staff weren't entirely fluent in English, so it was tough to communicate sometimes. Internet is heavily advertised as free on their site and side of the hotel but it's free for only one device. Each device after that is $15. They say you have a cap of 10GB/day (which is huge and more than I get at home), but the provider will block you if you use the service heavily. I felt it was bait and switch a bit. The mattress was really soft. It's fine if you like that but it wasn't that comfortable for me.

Mini Vacation
The studio room is small relative to other hotels we've stayed at. It was very clean and a good hotel to stay at just for sleeping in. Also, the hotel wasn't in the best location relative to the harbour and other places to walk to.
