Out of town
The hotel is about 50 minutes away from downtown with a busstop right next to it (10 $ for a day-ticket). The price is fair for what you get. The carpet in the rooms are old and a bit smelly. The shuttle from the hotel is free. All together, it's ok when you want to save money.

Don't miss the cute town Devonport. It takes 10 minutes to get there with the ferry which departures every hour. It's a nice little town to walk around, hang at the beach and dine in one of the many nice cafes.

I believe this hotel was built
I believe this hotel was built a while ago. But because of that, the prices are what we can afford, and we really appreciate that. If you need the newest of everything, Oakwood manor would not be for you, but when you are grateful for basics at an affordable price, this is ideal for us. The reception staff have always been excellent, and our rooms have always been cleaned well, replaced with clean towels each day, and tea and coffee always replenished.Thank you. We also appreciate the fact that you are close to the Airport for early flights too.

This is a poor quality hotel -
This is a poor quality hotel - rooms and corridors were musty and smelly. Although my main meal was good I had to return my starter as it was still frozen. Faciities in the room were also poor quality. Reception staff were pleasant but not particularly helpful.

After finding out delays in my
After finding out delays in my flight meant that I wouldn't be collected by my family, Oakwood Manor provide a shuttle service to and from the airport as part of the price. I was picked up within 5 mins of arrival (at 3:30am!) and was tucked in bed by just before 4.

room had bad odour from cleaning
room had bad odour from cleaning solutions. Mad not to have access to room from carpark. Had to walk around complex. Very noisy if you get inconsiderate guests who cant talk quietly

I would definitely stay here again.

We found that the Motel was lacking
We found that the Motel was lacking in maintenance re; leaky taps and that the cleaners had not removed dust from the skirting boards or round the hand basins, the staff was pleasant and got us to the airport on time and were good with the wake-up call, and we would stay there again. thankyou
