The room we had booked was a shocker
The room we had booked was a shocker (view of a carpark and tiny). The excellent guy on the desk suggested an upgrade for a reasonable price to a fantastic room with brilliant views. [This website] could be a look clearer on what the room comes with (ie view of carpark and on ground floor) but could not fault the staff at the chancellor.

Room we had was severely average,
Room we had was severely average, lights broken, bed uncomfortable, shower and bathroom tiny and barely room to move in the room where the bed was the main feature with little walking room. We did not recieve our promised x2 complimentary drinks until we asked for them. We did not have easy access to the pool area, had to ask every time we wanted to use facilities for someone at the front desk to let us through. For a 'city view' room we had a great view of the Wilson's carpark and were on the first story - hardly a view of the city in our opinion. Bed was terrible, two singles simply pushed together with not even a mattress liner to try make the split between the two beds less obvious. Would not recommend a stay here at all for the price. Have stayed in far nicer places for better prices.

Personally I will never ever book
Personally I will never ever book into this hotel again. The walls were paper thin. Apt 204 on Saturday night had numerous people over many of who were out on the tiny balcony beside my bedroom window. It took 3 calls to reception over a 4 hour period to get anything done the latest call being logged around 2.00am. Also when leaving the room on both mornings the cleaning carts etc were blocking all the hallway and near the lifts so you had to push your way through not very sulubrious.

good value for money, although we experienced difficulties with the booking - had electronic keys wiped twice and staff knocking on the door just after 8am on sunday morning to see if any one was there!!! (booked sat and sun nights). Front of house lacked english and seemed out of their depth.

Handy place to stay. Rooms are
Handy place to stay. Rooms are nice but quite small. They do have a usable verandah though and are nice and sunny. Good location near Viaduct harbour, but don't assume there will be water views- hotel is on bottom floors of an apartment complex, and views towards the harbour are blocked by a multi-story carpark across the road
