A vibrant boutique hotel experience in the heart of Auckland City's fashion and business precincts; the Hotel DeBrett experience is like no other in New Zealand. Hotel DeBrett's point of difference is it's emphasis on funky design, a warm and welcoming environment with careful attention to detail and personal service. Great night away

Fantastic location, very friendly and helpful staff and beautiful boutique hotel. Free Wifi and continental breakfast. The breakfast that was included was great for a freebie (and they even cater for gluten free travellers). They also make great REAL coffee (all included in the price). I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Stylish central hotel

Small and stylishly decorated hotel, close to the waterfront with bars and restaurants. Staff were very helpful, and free WIFI and breakfast an excellent touch.

Fab weekend in Auckland

We stayed at the De Bretts Hotel recently. What a hidden treasure. The staff were amazing from the moment we walked in the door. Rooms are beautifully presented & so spacious. Very very clean. Only issue we had was that our room was extremely noisy until around 1.00am as the bar patrons where partying in the courtyard just below our room. Surely double glazing could be a very good option. Otherwise an awesome place. Thanks heaps.

Wonderful escape!

Great hotel with lovely, friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection and lunch was also very enjoyable. The room was a little snug but more than adequate for a short stay. Located in a very central position in the CBD. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent weekend stay

There was a staff who tried to charge for my son for 400 dollars per night to stay in the same room for 3 nights which could cost us 1200 dollars extra. Most of people who are working for this hotel are very good and it is a pity that they have somebody who can cause much problem to the customers like our case.

I brought my husband here as a surprise for his birthday. It was perfect. Rooms fabulous- luxurious, funky and so comfortable. The bath was a delight. Location was perfect, right in the centre of town. Lots of restaurants and pubs to choose from. Walking distance to lots of attractions. Thanks a million.

Treat yourself

Having been disappointed by hotels in Auckland, Hotel De Brett was a welcome change. Its location is perfect, staff couldn't be more helpful. Is got a personality of its own. The rooms are comfy and homely and most importantly the bathroom is luxurious and clean..... I won't be staying anywhere else in Auckland. Surrounded by quirky and interesting shops Hotel De Brett is a winner.

Outstanding stay at exceptional hotel in heart of auckland

My wife and I went on a trip to Auckland for a 10 year anniversary. This was categorically one of the best hotels at which we've stayed. The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The amenities were top notch and the location couldn't be beat in central Auckland. We were able to walk to all downtown locations within blocks (5-10 minutes). Additionally, the location was great for any day trips since we could easily be picked up from central Auckland or take ferry. There are an abundance of great restaurants within 5-15 minutes walking. One minor detail was that plug in internet was not available. Wifi was great, but you had to keep getting new codes every 100 - 1000 MB. Not that we were there to play on the internet, but when we had to do some minor work, it took a bit longer and was sometimes interrupted running out of allocated download. If you're planning on a business trip, this may be a little more of a downside, but for a fun trip, it was of minor significance. Morning continental breakfast was decent. Cappuccinos were excellent. They also have an evening cocktail with free drink if you're around hotel at that time. They have a great drawing room (library) that you can chill out in as needed. Overall, bed was very comfortable. Room was spacious and cleanliness was excellent. Decor was awesome and there was a lot of attention to detail in design. The hotel is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. In the end, we had a great time and the room, location, service and staff were superb. I would recommend this place highly!
