With many rooms with balconies overlooking the water from Princes Wharf, the Hilton Auckland can claim title as one of the most unique hotels in the city. Standard guest rooms all feature either dual twin-beds or one king-sized bed with thicker mattresses, crisp linens and fluffy pillows set against a dark wood backdrop. Modern bathrooms feature walk-in showers and separate tubs, white porcelain sink tops, cozy robes and slippers as well as Crabtree & Evelyn bath products. Relax with Sky TV on the LCD flat-screen television or browse the Internet via high-speed Wi-Fi in the sitting area or workstation.Features

Mixed review
I had heard about the beautiful views at the Hilton because they have floor to ceiling windows so when I saw a good price on Orbitz I grabbed it. Turns out there were no views with the deal, so be careful- to get a view we had to " upgrade". The room was very modern, the newspaper was delivered to the door, there is a gym and there were lots of pillow choices. So if you are into that you will enjoy the Hilton. The location is on the wharf - close to most of what you would want to do. They have wireless access in the room but there is no choice for 1/2 hour so we had to buy an hour for $15 NZ and that hour keeps running. So if you only need 15 minutes that's too bad. This seems a bit of a ploy by Hilton to raise revenue at the expense of customer service and that is the reason I gave average on value and amenities. I don't think the value was there for the price we paid

Excellent Hotel
Hotel had a good location - close to downtown restaurants and shops. I loved the view of the harbour. Hotel staff were curteous and responsive. It would be better if it provided free internet service.

Cruise Ship blocking Harbor View
Thought this hotel was going to be better after reading all the reviews, but I was disappointed. It is located right on the harbor, near many restaraunts and shops. And after visiting Sydney Harbor, I was excited for a Harbor View room, but to my disappointment - the Harbor was not that nice. Plus the room we got -a cruise ship was always blocking our view. We complained but they couldn't do anything because they said we booked it through [...]. Very disappointing. The rooms are quite small, the workout room is small...and the pool is small. The only perk that other hotels don't offer is that they had an option to watch as many movies as you wanted in a 24 hour period for about $25 compared to buying each movie for about $15. After staying at other hotels at a comparable price in Auckland...I wouldn't recommend this one. Sorry Hilton.

Scam
Nice hotel with friendly staff, but they don't tell you one crucial thing: that right next to the hotel is where cruise ships dock almost every day. So, you're awakened by the sounds of horns and intercom messages at 06:30a. Then, you have the cruise passengers staring in your window all day. All this for almost 3x as much for a hotel a few blocks away in town.

The standard of staff service
The standard of staff service and food was excellent, room service was good but we felt that fresh milk should have been provided in your room with cheese and crackers in a place like New Zealand where we pride ourselves on our dairy produce, also some seasonal fruit apples, pears or kiwi fruit would have added to the ambiance of our room.

Hilton Auckland
We really enjoyed out harbour view room. We were able to watch the ferries going in and out, and had a great view of the water. The rooms were clean and very comfortable with a desk, couch, and nice tv. The bed was very comfortable.

Overall the hotel was extremely
Overall the hotel was extremely good. I was disapointed with the charges the hotel advertised for internet access. In todays climate internet access is expected as a business tool and should be free as is with many other hotels chains. I travel regulary and use the internet constantly so was dissapointed with this area.
