Simply Perfect! Couldn't fault

Simply Perfect! Couldn't fault our stay and would happily stay again. In fact we have stayed a few times using alternative booking systems. Great location and wonderful staff.

We stayed for four nights. The one bed room unit is confortable and the facilkities good. The only blemish was that housekeeoing forgot to do our room one morning. Other than that I would recommend the hotel for anyone wanting a spacious abnd well serviced apartment with great views and close to all facilities.

We found the Spencer on Byron Hotel to be good value for money with the parking included in the tarrif, having a full kitchen and laundry. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay there again as it leaves the other choices of accommodation over on the shore for dead.

Great location

I was in Auckland for the first time and the Spencer on Byron was recommended to me by a business associate. The hotel is within walking distance to Takapuna Beach and the views are spectacular. The staff was helpful and I am planning to return.

Great rooms with good lounge area.

Great rooms with good lounge area. Couple of minor maintenance issues with sticking slider door but otherwise good stay with awesome views.

Overall pretty good, just some

Overall pretty good, just some minor points. No seal on swing glass on the bath rim resulting in a lot of water spilling thru on to the bathroom floor when showering. Not a big deal, just meant had to use a lot of towels on the floor to soak up water. The cleaning lady didn't seem to mind replacing the towels and cleaning up each day so not sure if this was common to all rooms?? No fan in the bathroom, as internal from bedroom got quite warm and steamy. Reasonable sized fridge but more than half full of their own on-tab supplies, would have preferred less of that and more space for our own supplies given room was self catering. Older and relatively small TV screens, not the best picture quality and hard to watch, but maybe its just because we're used to HD flat screens at home these days that the old screens appear hard to watch, or maybe they just aren't good screens?? Apart from that, location good. Short walk to high street, mall and beach. Gym and pool facilities good.

The staff at the front desk were friendly. The service in the restaurant was pretty average. It felt like the staff thought they were doing you a favor serving you.
