Downtown Auckland hotel featuring balconies overlooking Myers Park
The Amora Hotel Auckland (formerly the Duxton Hotel) overlooks Myers Park and is within walking distance to the central business district and many top attractions. Most of the numerous Amora Hotel Auckland guest rooms feature balconies, full kitchens and laundry facilities. Guests can dine at the Grill or eat on the terrace adjacent to the outdoor pool. Take in a quick workout at the on-site gym or pop across the street for something more extensive at the YMCA. The property has three meeting rooms, accommodating up to 120 people.

Always enjoy staying at the Duxton.

Always enjoy staying at the Duxton. parking is reasonable and you can often park on the street. Quiet location and good facilities.

Really great if you get a good

Really great if you get a good deal. Good parking right under hotel especially compared with other hotel parking charges. Always great service, clean and a real luxury feel. If you get the breakfast included, the room service bkft is great!!

I liked the Duxton and enjoyed

I liked the Duxton and enjoyed my stay. I thought the lobby was lovely but the elevator and rooms were a little old fashioned. I also thought there should have been TWO dressing robes and not just one, and that there should have been bubble bath solution and toothpaste/toothbrush provided. But besides from that, a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed in the Penthouse suite.

We stayed in the Penthouse suite. It was hot and the sheets seemed synthetic which was unpleasant. The airconditioning was also very loud and directly above the bed on the mezzanine floor.The breakfast was very ordinary. I did not enjoy it and would not stay there again.

Over all the hotel was good it

Over all the hotel was good it was just the bathrooms that were a let down, the showers leaked and there wasn't enough towles in our room.
