Le Meridien is a nice enough place, and it has a great location. It's one of those old 70s-era hotels that carved out a place for themselves on the beach, and has pretty much coasted ever since. The grounds are lovely and the pool is great. Anse
Vata beach isn't as great as you'd expect but the hotel is right on it, and you get your own slice of beach, and a pool, and food/drinks service right there. So that's good. But it's really expensive, the rooms are dowdy (although clean etc), and the internet is only barely adequate.
Like much of New Caledonia, you pay a lot for an ok-but-not-great experience. This notwithstanding, there are better options than this place, for the price.
